The New Year brings a Pandora's box of emotions for many people. Some are excited by the thought of starting over with a clean slate, others fearful about new beginnings, but most take it in their stride marking the start of a new day, a new month, and a New Year. Prayers and blessings are just one way to bring in the New Year with gratitude and love.
In the New Year, may your right hand always be stretched out in friendship and your feet ready to travel with all your friends in the Ohio Heritage Gold Club.
Below are a few travel tips to keep in mind:
- Our trips fill quickly so make your reservations early
- Seats are assigned according to reservations
- We travel as “one big happy family”—so you won’t be alone
- You may invite guests to travel with you
- Trips depart from various locations when applicable
- All remittances must be payable to Ohio Heritage Bank unless noted differently for trip
- You can remit in person, by mail, or by calling me to debit your account
- We reserve the right to change or cancel any tour
- Should you find it necessary to cancel your reservation, refunds will be given only if we can fill your vacancy or if prepaid tickets and admissions can be retrieved
- A trip itinerary will be mailed to you prior to the departure date on all trips
To be sure you have a seat on all our trips…….please reserve early. Our trips fill quickly, and sometimes our tickets are limited, so call me at my direct number 740-610-2017 as soon as possible. If I am not available to take your call, just leave me a message and I will return your call as soon as I can.
Occasionally I will have information regarding a new trip or event, not featured in this newsletter, and I will post a message about it on your monthly Golden Checking Account Statement. So………………………….

BOB EVANS FARM/SERPENT MOUND

What better way to start the summer than a road trip to Rio Grande, Ohio! Everyone loves to eat at a Bob Evans restaurant—so why not visit the beautiful country setting of nearly 1,000 rolling acres with many attractions and see where it all began. Then it’s onward to the Serpent Mound before heading home. This will be a day filled with lots of fun, food, and adventure.
Cost: $72 pp based on 40, $77 pp based on 35, $84 pp based on 30. The more the merrier!

“HAWAIIAN ADVENTURE”
October 24 – November 2, 2013
Aloha! This trip is a “Must Do” or a “Definitely-Repeat” experience for everyone. We will motor coach from Coshocton to Columbus and then fly to Hawaii (also known as“Paradise”). Trip includes 3 days on the Island of Oahu, 3 days on Kauai (“Garden Isle”—the oldest island in the chain), and 3 days on Maui. Some of the trip’s highlights include:
- A memorable historic journey to the Pacific National Monument and then travel by naval launch to the white marble-clad USS Arizona Memorial
- A city tour of Honolulu including the Iolani Palace, the impressive state Capitol building, Kamehameha’s statue, and the moving National Cemetery of the Pacific—known as the Punchbowl
- Dole Plantation to learn more about the renowned Hawaiian pineapple
- Visit the North Shore, home to world-famous surf spots including the Banzai Pipeline
- Explore the laid back Haleiwa town
- Visit the Polynesian Cultural Center to experience the authentic village life of the Polynesian islands
- Visit Kilohana Plantation and ride on an authentic historic railway

“Half-Stitched” at Carlisle Inn, Sugarcreek

Live Theatre in Ohio’s Amish Country. Sit alongside a group of unlikely quilters in an Amish widow’s quilting class and watch as they learn to piece together their lives—one stitch at a time—in Half-Stitched, the new musical based on a novel by best-selling author, Wanda E. Brunstetter.

“A Hollywood Christmas”, Columbus

In response to an overwhelming demand from fans, The Four Preps and The New Chordettes will perform their Christmas special at the Aladdin Shrine Center. Enjoy a delightful selection of songs of the season such as “White Christmas”, traditional Christmas Carols, including a hilarious rendition of “The 12 Days of Christmas”. This group not only travels to many Performing Arts Theatres but they are also featured 8 weeks a year in Branson, MO. What better way to start The Season!
